As a personal trainer, these are my core values:

You don’t need a gym to be fit and strong

Fitness can be an opportunity to play, have fun & explore

Anyone can bring fitness into their lives, regardless of age and abilities

It’s never too late to become active and fit

There are many ways to be active, one just has to find what works for them

An injury doesn’t mean we stop working out

Fitness doesn’t need to be extreme to give you results

Being consistent is more important than being extreme

I am also committed to:

  • Professionalism. If I say I’ll do something, I do it.
  • Silliness and laughter. Because that makes life (and fitness) fun.
  • Education. I will always tell you what we’re doing, and why. You get to keep all of your workouts so you can continue to stay active between sessions. I want you to learn along the way.
  • Getting to know you.  Because you want to connect with your trainer and feel like “she gets you”. So you actually look forward to your sessions.
  • Being ethical. My goal is to make my clients stronger and more resilient so they can live well; never to cause injury, or make them worse than when we started.

Oh, and by the way, I’m not a drill sergeant!

I work with real, normal people, just like you. I know you are looking to better yourself, but still want to be able to walk the next day. I don’t like to push people to the extreme – I know when an exercise is challenging enough. And I will teach you, so you too will know when you can push more, or when you need to stop.

We’ll also talk about other stuff too – how to stay motivated, habit change, and planning. There is a lot that goes into creating and maintaining a fitness regime that sticks.

Let’s get started!
